Undergraduate Programs

Undergraduate students will receive a Bachelor of Science in Nutritional Science with the following emphasis areas:

Dietetics Program

The Dietetics Coordinated Program prepares students to become Registered Dietitian/Nutritionists (RD/N). RDNs specialize in applied nutrition and work in a variety of practice settings, such as hospitals and clinics, schools, business and industry, private practice and public health clinics.

The Dietetics program is a five-year program where students complete:

  • A Bachelor of Science
  • A Master of Science
  • All supervised practice (fieldwork) necessary to take the Registration Examination for Dietitians (RD Exam).

Graduate Programs

Our graduate program at the University of Missouri is nationally and internationally known in several research areas in the field of nutrition and exercise physiology.

Through cutting-edge research and an outstanding educational experience, we prepare students for careers in the health professions, health sciences and academia.

Our program has evolved over the years to focus on the interrelationships between nutrition and/or physical activity/inactivity and the role in health and disease.

Graduate students receive either a Master of Science or PhD in Nutrition and Exercise Physiology and can choose from the following emphasis areas:

  • Exercise Physiology MS or PhD
  • Nutritional Sciences MS or PhD
